As a high school publication, The Tower Pulse knows what platforms students and their parents use every day. Posting links to our stories on Facebook has been a hit with parents in our community and is the source of a great deal of our website's traffic. Facebook is great because it allows readers easily access and share our articles. Instagram and Snapchat are also extremely valuable platforms that we use to promote, publicize and share our stories. These social media websites also allow us to track what our readers are interested in based on what they interact with on our profile. This year, I converted The Tower Pulse Instagram account to a business profile, which allows me to login and view statistics from our profile.

At the beginning of the school year, Tower staffers promote the publication at registration. As Pulse Editor in Chief, I thought it was important for me to make sure students are aware of both the print and digital publications we produce. Along with manning the table at registration, I created flyers full of information to be passed out to students as they passed by during registration.
